Don’t Be Afraid
Fear is a machine that feeds from itself
Reverse back
A gentle footstep
Unclasp your hand
Palms open
Walk forward by the light from within

Strength
Stand back up
Over tree root and rock
Over foreign tongue and sideways glances
Over the knife you carved your name upon
Shoulders up, shoulders back, shoulders down
Stand back up and shine

Journey
A fringe of heavy foliage
Vines alive, encircling
You have to go through who you are
To get to who you can be
Wild and steady and free

Beauty asks for nothing
The quiet hum
A precipice
Fluttering under the skin
Sunlight on an ageless rock
Immersion into space

Cleanse sadness with water
Ease tension with sun
A recalibration of vibrancy
Follow the one who finds God in nature
Where one is all and all is one

When no one is around you
Love will always love you
